The mission of Glam for Life, Inc. is to provide education and tools of support for at-risk individuals to reduce suicides in all San Diego County communities with an emphasis in communities of color. We are dedicated to creating suicide intervention and outreach services that include indentifying risk behavior patterns, hosting educational workshops, networking with mental health and social resources, and promoting community awareness and involvement on the rising trend of suicide.

Glam for Life,Inc. is a San Diego community-based non-profit organization founded in 2007 by Ms. Voneva Denham, a third generation suicide survivor.Ms. Denham’s Grandmother died by suicide prior to her birth and her mother died by suicide May 27, 2003. Glam for life was established out of her sorrow and loss attributed to this rising trend.

As a professional in the beauty and entertainment industry, and understanding the influence that beauty ,fashion ,and entertainment have in various communities, Ms. Denham realized the importance of incorporating these industries as a tool in some of its methods used to address suicide and raise awareness, thus, creating the name Glam for Life. The founder Ms. Voneva Denham and each member of Glam for Life, Inc. Board of Directors have extensive experience, close connection, and a sensitivity to the immediate special needs of individuals affected by suicide.

The aspiration of the founder and members of the board of directors is to combat this silent killer through awareness and prevention and use alternative methods to address suicide in communities while achieving physical, mental, and spiritual wellness.
